CELEBRATION OF BIRTH

The annual Episkopi Garrison Celebration of Birth event is arranged by the Episkopi Midwives and Home Start to bring together all of those babies born within 2014 whether born here in Cyprus or elsewhere in the world. The idea behind this is to enable all of those parents to come together and share their pregnancy and birth experiences and to admire each other's beautiful bundles of joy.

This year was a particularly well attended event with almost 30 babies present, most of which took up the festive spirit by wearing a Christmas outfit, the judging of which was successfully done by the CBF!!

We even had a suprise visit from Santa who gave each of the babies a small gift.

The funding for the event was kindly donated by 2 Yorks Unit Welfare, the Episkopi Midwives and Home Start.

Proceeds from the raffle will be used to purchase essential equipment to enable the Episkopi Midwives to commence "baby massage sessions" in the new year.
