On Saturday 11 March 2017, the annual SSAFA 10K Challenge will return to Happy Valley, raising money for the forces charity in Cyprus.
Established as one of the biggest events on the WSBA calendar, registration is now open to take part in the challenge. Open to the entitled personnel (BFC pass holders) only, to join in by running or walking the gruelling valley track.
Pre-registration costs just €15 per person or people can register on the day for €20.
Registration will open at 07:30, with the first race kicking off at 08:30. Registration Forms can be collected from Hive, Episkopi Community Support Office and SSAFA HQ Admin Office in Episkopi.
SSAFA 10K Challenge is an event with three elements; 08:30 children's 2km race, 09:00 10km walk and 09:30 10km run. Children's entry is free.
All money raised will go towards the SSAFA Service committees and SSAFA's wider initiatives supporting both serving and ex-serving personnel and their families in Cyprus.
Entrants will receive a medal and a SSAFA T-Shirt. Competitive participants looking to add to the challenge will also race for trophies awarded for overall men, women, vets and walkers 1st, 2nd & 3rd place.
